Bridging generations…
Nurturing the present for the future…
through the power of music.

Our Mission

To promote a greater musical understanding in the border community through outreach, education, youth programs, and celebration with eclectic musical offerings and an emphasis on classical music culminating during the summer months.

Each year, the El Paso Society for Musicians of the Future honors and celebrates an outstanding person who has been integral to the support and continuation of the arts in El Paso and the surrounding area through the donation of time, talent, and/or financial support.

A message from our president

“…cultivating the power of music..”

Every year for EPSMF has proven to be more outstanding than the previous one. Music lights up the world and, with it, we discover a world of opportunity. EPSMF is about programs and choices that offer young musicians doors to the power within themselves and with each other… building a community in the Arts that inspires, heals, supports personal growth, and bridges generations as well as diversity - all this through the power music.

Our competitions have become more breathtaking. Despite the diversity in applications and instruments, our 2019 Competition for Young Musicians will feature all pianists with repertoire that will, no doubt, intrigue us. The Instruments for Live recipients have already shared their joy in knowing they will move forward in their world of music with good instruments. OM/NI holds the promise of more imagination expressed in the composition of new works for piano. We’ve watched our young ambassadors and leaders learn to speak in front of audiences. And so….we continue to grow our programs.

It's easy to make a difference. Simply reach out. We work to touch lives. When we see the joy of music in the one or many, we know we are doing something good. Tune in. We’d love to see you as a part of this.
