EPSMF supports the Alzheimer's Association. Board director, Ellen Goodman, has personal insights into caregiving and the value of music as it relates to the quality of life for loved ones experiencing dementia. "I personally went through the experience of being a caretaker for my mother who suffered from dementia. Along with my sisters, I watched as my mother slowly regressed cognitively." Because of that experience, she is currently active with the Alzheimer’s Association and is now a member of the West Texas Advisory Board.

The EPSMF Youth Ambassadors have been trained in a collaborative Alzheimer's program to gain a better understanding of this progressive disease. The young musicians of EPSMF's ALPs program have produced dedicated outreach videos featuring music to enhance the quality of life for Alzheimer's patients.

We’re not face-to-face at this time in order to stay safe and stay well!
